Kilpeck Pantomime (just 9 miles from the City of Hereford) has been playing to packed audiences since 1996. A wonderful mix of village humour and silliness makes this a fun night out for all the family. Ticket prices remain at £4 per adult and £2 for children. Mulled wine and mince pies (many baked by the locals in the village) are served during the interval in return for donations to the Pantomime Society, so it always has a lovely Christmassy feel as soon as you walk into Kilpeck Village Hall.
I think the reason why our pantomime is so popular is because it is clearly an amateur production. The singing can often be off-key and somebody always forgets a line or two but that’s what makes it so much fun, and it is the obvious enjoyment of everybody involved that delights the audience.
We are very lucky in that the marvellous Richard Thompson writes a new script every year tailoring the parts to suit each cast member. I genuinely feel he has surpassed himself this year with his wonderful take on Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. I would urge you to come along and join in the fun. Tickets go on sale from 1st November with evening performances on Thursday 8th, Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of December (7.30pm start) and a matinée performance on Saturday at 2.00pm. Tickets have to be purchased via our Box Office as we cannot guarantee a seat if people turn up on the night. See our Box Office section for details.
